There's nothing more peaceful than a lazy day on the river.
Depending on where you live, canoeing and kayaking is one of the better ways to get out and enjoy a little one-on-one with nature. So where are some of the best places to go? And how far do you have to go to get away?
We went on the Web looking for wilderness experts who could tell us what they like best, and where they like to go to get away from it all. We also wanted to find those places that are close to home, in case you only have a day or two for a quick getaway, or a weekend trip.
Check out our list and see what you might find. Better yet, send us an e-mail so we can add your spot to our list of places.
